2009 Kids Retreat at the American River

Conclusion

kids presentation

Finished PedestalOn the last day of our retreat, Babaji asked the kids and their acharya to give a presentation.  Much to the delight of Babaji and the chagrin and admiration of the adults, the kids recited different Sanskrit pass phrases with English translations, each explaining why she liked the one she chose. It was obvious to everyone the advantages of getting an early start in familiarity with Sanskrit.  Then they showed the fossils and cracked pots and explained the lessons concerning them.  Finally, we brought out the 14 pots representing the cosmic principles they had studied, and the children showed how they were related to each other, lining them up accordingly.

Babaji expands on the kids projecttop_shotAfterwards, Babaji took the entire group, kids and adults, through the teaching of breaking the pots that held reflected suns. What is left when the last pot, the pot of ego, gets broken?  How many suns are left?  Did you say “the one real sun?”  It cannot be stated, for what is left when the last reflector is gone?  Now imagine the look of wonder and insight lighting the face of a child preparing to enter young adulthood.  This is the blessing of holy company.
