Sri Ramakrishna’s Radiant Road to Reality

SRV’s Annual Summer Retreat continues a
decade’s long tradition of uniting two kinds of
darshan: Purusha and Prakriti – transmission
of Dharma in holy company with the Guru, and
the benign and healing presence of nature
enjoyed at the pristine American River.

 

Live in holy company for a full week – meditating, studying, serving, and
growing together. Each morning begins with chanting from the Bhagavad Gita prior to meditation. Daily classes include essential teachings of Yoga, Vedanta, Tantra, and Sankhya. Spiritual music is featured at this retreat: Chanting and memorization of Sri Ramakrishna Mangalam, Sri Ramakrishna Suprabhatam, & the Ramakrishna Chalisa; plus a movie of Swami Vivekananda is planned. Afternoons include explorations and swimming/sunning along the American River. Then Chela Dharma class for teens and young adults. Each day closes with evening devotions at the altar, singing and
chanting, meditation, and satsang.

 

Location: Private land in Foresthill, California near the American River
Arrival: Arrive by 6pm, Thursday evening, July 6th
Last day of retreat: Wednesday, July 12 (approximately noon, clean up follows)
Tuition: all inclusive
 Adults: $636 (full retreat), $275 (weekend, arrive Friday), $110/day
 Children/Students: $300 (full retreat), $140 (weekend, arrive Friday), $55/day
