SRV Summer Retreat

bridgeOn the American River over Gurupurnima
Foresthill, Northern California
Friday, July 23 – Thursday, July 29

In accordance with the diverse group of differing levels of aspirant, and considering the presence of several interested teenagers who attend, this summer’s retreat will accent the mainstays of the path, such as the beginning stages of spiritual practice and those select methods which are designed to assist the aspirant in attaining the more intermediate levels of proficiency.  Techniques which encourage a hands-on experience will be adopted, such as writing and presenting individual teaching reports, and the famous and recurring “one-minute” meditation period.

SRV Associations’‚ annual summer retreat in Northern California has developed into a marvelous multi-generational experience in the transmission of Vedanta’s liberating message while living together as one extended holy family. Everyone was deeply affected by the richness and potential of the teachings in this auspicious mix of ages, set in the beauty, peace, and seclusion of nature. Babaji’s ability to transmit essential teachings to individuals at any age and stage of development – simultaneously to the benefit of the entire group – is certainly one of the highlights of SRV sangha life.
