SRV’s Spring Advaita Retreat

SeattleSeattle, Washington
Memorial Weekend: Thursday, May 27 – Monday, May 31, 2010
Taught by Babaji Bob Kindler, SRV Associations’ Spiritual Director

Continuing in the spirit of last year’s retreat on Gaudapada’s famous commentary on the Mandukyopanisad, SRV’s Spring retreat will focus on the latter part of Gaudapada’s karika, especially the final section termed the “Phenomena of the Firebrand” prakarana.  In the remaining time, Babaji will also take the retreatants through some of the most salient slokas of the Ashtavakra Samhita and Avadhuta Gita.

Recommended reading:
Mandukyo Upanisad with Gaudapada’s karika, translation by Swami Nikhilananda, and/or, Mandukyo Upanisad with summary of the the karika, translation by Swami Sarvananda; Ashtavakra Samhita, translation by Swami Nityasvarupananda; Avadhuta Gita, translations by Swami Ashokananda or Swami Chetanananda.

Location/Setting: Like last year, the Spring Retreat will be held in a beautiful, Victorian Seattle house overlooking Puget Sound, downtown Seattle, and the distant Olympics.  Charming and peaceful.
