Sunday Class: Skanda Upanisad, Nonduality Among the Deities

ZOOM link

Sunday, August 16th

The Skanda Upanisad, found in the Yajur Veda, is a scripture of just 15 slokas that treats the subject of nonduality in ideal and traditional Advaita Vedantic fashion.  By scrutinizing its short span of uncompromising teachings, persistent doubts concerning the important Ishtams of the devotees of several paths of India dissolve, and the truth of the Oneness of Existence gets established.

Skanda, the Son of Siva, and keeper of justice and peace, asks all-important questions about the nature of the Self, coming forth with the essential conclusions which every sincere seeker must arrive at in his or her well-lived dharmic lifetime.
