Sunday Class: Tucking Nature Back into Bed – Sowing Spiritual Seeds in The Mind

ZOOM LINK

Sunday, March 29th

In Vedanta, the truth about all things, in all its phases, always comes out with clarity.  With respect to Nature and the tremendous generative power it possesses, the philosophy declares that the entirety of it (Prakriti) exists in the Great Mind in a vast sweep which covers cosmic, collective, and individual levels.  The origin of all things exists in the mind, then, which beautifully places both the cause and the responsibility (karma) for all phenomena with living beings, not with God/Brahman.

The seeds for all things, then, germinate in the causal mind (mental projection/sristhi), then spring forth as worlds, bodies, and objects to sport temporarily (sustenance/stithi), then return to their root origin at the time of passing (dissolution/laya).  This is an eternal process wherein nothing is ever born and nothing actually dies.  Realized souls (Purushas) thus identify themselves as the Witness (Sakshi) of all the changes of Nature and use the facile mind to both enter and exit embodiment free and unencumbered.  AUM Peace, Peace, Peace!
