[The third day of our retreat focused on the Mother as Knowledge.]
She is in all words; Knowledge is Her form.
In the Vedic way of thinking, the physical world was not created out of Love, or Bliss, but out of Ignorance. Otherwise, why all this pain and suffering?
Hiding is no trick for Brahman, as It is always formless. But Mother comes out of hiding (formlessness) and gets all things done from behind the scenes. This is trickery of an incomprehensible variety. This is why She and Her works are all called “inscrutable.”
Three essential facets of Sri Ramakrishna’s incarnation:
1) Motherhood of God – Sri Ramakrishna is the Kali Avatar, so he might as well bring Ma Kali into manifestation to deal with it.
2) Universality of all religions – There is one Atman everywhere, so why are you acting contrary to that? That is, always having the mind and senses going outward even during the practice of mauna, silence? Seven different religious Traditions affirm the third eye: Krishna says, “You cannot see My Cosmic form with these eyes; I will give you the Jnana Chakshu, the Eye of Wisdom.” The Apostle John states, “No man hath seen the Lord with these eyes. Sri Ramakrishna put it this way, “You cannot see God with these senses; you need Love eyes, Love ears, ….
3) Samadhi is our true nature
The Devi states, “You are to know Brahman and non-Brahman.” But everything is Brahman unless you do not know Brahman – then nothing is Brahman.
Science is meditating, as it were, on all that is not Brahman, but they are not coming to the right conclusion – that everything here is just changing particles, or empty of substance.
Aditya and Kashyapa produced so many Divine Children, that is, mind-born children in another realm. A mind-born child is the product of the divine parent’s higher thinking process. In that process, birth conception is wise Conception.
Mantra is the positive quick fix the Americans are looking for. It cuts to the chase.
[Sloka 18 states, “She is the demons, evil beings, devas, sattva, rajas, and tamas……”
For this sloka, Babaji elucidated on the chart, “Prakasha Shakti” that explains not only Mother’s power of concealing Reality (avarana shakti, which is related to tamas) and Her power of projection (vikshepa shakti, related to rajas), but also Her revealing power, called prakasha shakti, which is related to sattva.]
These Gunas are Hers and they are always cycling, yet we do not have a clue about this. It is like only having an outbreath and never taking an inbreath…..
The West is missing the following:
The concept of phenomena as cyclic
The concept of involution
The concept of tanmatra, subtle elements
The concept of prana, life force
The Mother is time, the divisions of time, and the form of primordial time….
There are many triputis associated with the death of connate ignorance: Brahma, Vishnu, Siva; A,U, & M; Waking, Dream, and Deep Sleep. These are really transcendent, beyond time.
We have to know our own Consciousness from the ground up in order to have our first conscious death then followed by a fully conscious birth and lifetime.
[In other slokas, the Devi was described as “The Goddess who banishes distress, who grants pleasure and release alike….” and that She is the “seed all-powerful of the Goddess mantra.”]

In order to see Mother here on Earth we are to seek and find her in the Wisdom teachings.
In Vedanta, faith leads to Liberation, not to salvation.
Knowledge is Her form, so take the hint and study the scriptures.
