Dealing with Desire
[Babaji showed the chart “The Nine Ways of Dealing with Desire,” and pointed out the upper wheels of transformation via dharma and sadhana leading to qualification.]
You cannot enjoy, satisfy, or satiate desires, because their source is in the mind, not in the body or senses, and few work on their mind. Dharma allows fulfillment, but this actually translates to transcendence. Every religion says desires are what keep us from realizing God.
Concerning pure and impure desires: Try first associating only with pure desires and let the impure shrivel. Look back and see what did not dissolve and then work on those more directly. Water the flowers first for some time, leave the weeds thirsty, and then get your shovel or spade out to unearth the persistent habits.
Premature dharmic life means living well, following moral and ethical precepts, and going to heaven thereafter — a post-mortem emancipation. Mature dharma is a life lived in pursuit of spiritual life for the purpose of Enlightenment.
