Sita Upanisad in Seattle
SRV Sangha members gathered with Babaji in Seattle last October for a second retreat on the 7 Goddess Upanisads. This year we were introduced to the Sita Upanisad, wherein one of the verses states: “By Sri Rama’s Light of total Liberation Her presence is enabled. She sustains the universe, and all embodied beings. She brings forth, sustains, and withdraws everything. Therefore, Sita must be known. She is the first cause; It is as AUM that She is that cause, declare the knowers of Brahman.”
One of the essential points that was reverently and deeply explored is the Divine Mother’s all-encompassing presence as Intelligence that manifests in all words. The profundity and exhilaration experienced upon catching only an intellectual glimpse of the implications of this, kept the retreat sangha deeply focused throughout.
